We were in Guadeloupe again this year, January 14 until March 5. We stayed in four different
places for a week each and then three weeks in Deshaies, returning to Gite Mangoplaya with its captivating sunsets.
Below are links of the Airbnb places that we stayed in:
Again, we chose small places with interesting hosts in a variety of locations on the island. The first was on a neighboring island of Marie Galante after staying with Charles for one night after getting off the airplane. Then two places on Grand Terre, the flatter, dryer of the two islands that make up Guadeloupe, Saint François and le Moule. A new place for us was in the hills above St. Rose. It turned out to be really beautiful. It was a change to have a great breakfast served to us every morning. The last stop was a return to the hill above the beautiful golden beach of Grand Anse beach near Deshais. We had more rain than last year, but the last few days were sunny.
After that we are coming home to the Boston weather of March and then returning to Utah and San Francisco to see family and to avoid the cold.
First Stop, Marie Galante
